Orlando Threatened To Trade Dwight To LA

All the questions and speculations if Dwight would still be in a Magic uniform for the rest of the season ended on March 14. Orlando's front office was tired of playing checkers and brought out the chess strategies, they threatened to deal him to the Lakers. Just like in any relationship when you're playing hard to get Howard was hit with an ultimatum.

Howard had his sights set on New Jersey, in a trade that would've sent Brook Lopez, MarShon Brooks, Mehmet Okur and two first-round picks. But the Magics bluffed that deal and pursued the Laker deal for Andrew Bynum, Steve Blake, and Devin Ebanks. Which Dwight turned downed and opted to stay with the team he drafted, calling it "loyalty"
